Mr. S. G. Hegde,
the treasurer of Havyaka Mahaasabha Bangalore (HMB) showed me the
construction of Vidyarthinilay of HMB on 16 January 2008. I was very
impressed with the location of the site and progress of the construction
of the building. The three story building construction is over.
There are seven rooms in each level and each room can accommodate
four students. Each room has a
ceiling fan, window and Broad Band
Connectivity and storage area for students to store their books.
Each level has 4 toilets and 3 bath rooms for 27 students.
The dining hall and kitchen are on the ground level of the
building. The Building will
accommodate about 80 students. There
is a long waiting list of students for the Hostel as the existing HMB
Hostel is insufficient to the demand. The managing committee under the
leadership of Mr. M. N. Bhat, the president of the HMB, has collected
about 20 lacks of rupees from
Bangalore

India
and 7 lakhs of rupees from
USA
. It may take another four
months to complete the building. I thank all donors from Havyaks in
USA
for the generous donation. The
HMB managing committee is still looking for donation as it may require
additional 20 lakhs of rupees to complete the building. You can donate
